After over a year hiatus from running workshops due to the birth of my third beautiful daughter and other ventures, I am excited to return with an idea I have been cooking up for a while now. I've been dreaming of hosting a soul-nourishing, wholesome and creative kinfolk gathering and I’m so pleased to announce I’ve found the perfect co-star to work with me to bring you a very special autumnal themed event!
The lovely Miss Flower Girl and yours truly, Gather Girl, are so excited to bring you an afternoon of wreath making, whole-food baking and feasting. This is a chance to treat yourself and feed the creative part of your soul at our Autumn Kinfolk Gathering set in the heart of the stunning Upper Moutere at the inspiring Woods & Co gallery space in the Old Post Office Store.
Who are we?
Hayley, otherwise known as Gather Girl is a certified plant-based nutritionist, women's holistic health coach, whole-foods chef and founder of successful culinary ventures Blak + Ruby Chai organic concentrates, the Gather Girl range of dairy-free cultured coconut yoghurt and the Petite Eats layered breakfast pots. She is also the mother of three gorgeous daughters.
Passionate about everything to do with health, wellness and botanical cuisine, she wants to show you how easy it can be to create a nourishing celebration cake that you would be proud to put at the centre of your table. Hayley will share her extensive knowledge of the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle.
All food will be vegan and free from wheat and refined sugar.
Sara-lee, founder of Miss FlowerGirl is an award winning florist/event stylist who will guide you through techniques of wreath making and basic flower arranging. Sara-lee wishes to evoke the green-goddess in all of you, awakening a passion for the naked beauty of nature.
Since she was a little girl, flowers have always been her true love and she has channeled her vision and passion into creating some of the most beautiful events around New-Zealand.
Sara-Lee is based in Nelson and is a busy mother of two darling daughters.
What can you expect?
At 2pm you will meet and greet an intimate gathering of like minded women and select your choice of some locally foraged autumn flowers and foliage to create your very own wreath.
As the sun goes down, we will spend the remainder of the workshop gathered around a beautiful kinfolk table setting.
Enjoy great company, sample the baking, sip a stunning rose or ruby chai and reflect on the wonderful afternoon we have just experienced.
Everything is supplied and inclusive in the workshop investment. You will come away with your beautiful autumn wreath, and a gift box filled with feminine goodies. You will possess the know-how to create your own keep-sake wreaths anytime in the future and to whip up a divine and nourishing cake for family and friends or the kids lunch boxes. You will have had the chance to glean many pearls of wisdom from Hayley and Sara-Lee and have them answer any of your burning questions.
